How to Set Up You Bek Email on Your Mac

Setting up your BEK email on a Mac is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to get your email up and running.

• Locate the Mail app in your Dock. It looks like a postage stamp. Click to open.

• If you’ve never set up an email account on your Mac, the Mail Account Provider options will appear. Choose Other Mail Account…

• If you already have an email account set up, go to Mail in the top-left corner and click Add Account.

• Select Other Mail Account and click Continue.

• Fill out your email information:

  • Name: The name you want to appear on outgoing emails.

  • Email Address: Your BEK email address.

  • Password: Your BEK email password.

• Click Sign In.

• Incoming Mail Server: imap.bektel.com

• Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.bektel.com

• Click Sign In.

• Choose the apps you’d like to use with your BEK email (such as Mail and Notes), then click Done.

• Your inbox window will now open.

• To ensure everything is working correctly:

  • Click the Compose New Message button at the top left (it looks like a square with a pencil).

  • In the To field, enter your own email address.

  • Type a subject and a short message, then click Send (paper airplane icon at the top left).

If your email doesn’t send or you see an error message:

• Check your Account Info under Mail Settings:

  • Enable this account: Should be checked.

  • Status: Online.

  • Description: BEK Email.

  • Email Address: Your BEK email address.

• Check your Server Settings:

  • Navigate to the Server Settings tab

  • Verify the correct server details:

    • Incoming Mail Server (IMAP Host Name): imap.bektel.com

    • Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP Host Name): smtp.bektel.com

• If the settings are incorrect, update them and save your changes.
