Repeat Dialing
Automatically redial a busy number for 30 minutes using *66, and get a distinctive ring when the line is free.
Redials the last outgoing telephone number you dialed. If busy, it will continue dialing for 30 minutes. You may still make and receive other calls.
How to Use Repeat Dialing:
After attempting a call that is busy, hang up. Lift the receiver and dial *66 on your touchtone phone (1166 for rotary phone). You will hear a recorded announcement telling you the telephone company’s equipment will keep trying the number for 30 minutes. Hang up receiver. Your phone will have a distinctive ring when the called party’s phone is available to take a call. Simply pickup the receiver and the call will be connected.
How to Cancel Repeat Dialing:
Lift the receiver and dial *86 on your touchtone phone (1186 for rotary phone).
