The Annual Meeting is your cooperative at work. Each June, members gather to hear how BEK is performing, elect directors, and share a meal with neighbors.

What Happens at the Meeting?
- Reports on the cooperative's finances and the year's progress
- Election of directors for districts with open seats
- Approval of the previous year's meeting minutes
- Time to ask questions and meet your directors and BEK staff
Your Vote is Your Voice
The Annual Meeting is the one time each year when members come together to decide who leads the cooperative. It's also a great evening out!
Can't attend in person? Members may vote online.
Voting on behalf of an organization? Churches, school districts, cooperatives, and other organizations need an Appointment of Voting Representative form. Drop it off at any BEK office before the meeting or bring it to check-in.
Electing Your Board
Directors are elected by members leading up to and at the Annual Meeting, with seats in different districts up for election each year. Every member has one equal vote.
2026 Annual Meeting Recap
BEK's 74th Annual Meeting was held June 11, 2026, at the Steele Veterans Club with the theme “Value Beyond Connections.” 242 people attended, including 98 registered members, and more watched live on BEK TV. Members heard the 2025 Year in Review and the auditor's report, asked questions, and elected directors.
2026 Election Results
Members re-elected Sanford Williams (District I), Kevin Bernhardt (District III), and Ed Everson (District V East),and elected Chase Dewitz (District II). After the meeting, the board re-elected Brett Stroh as President, Kevin Bernhardt as Vice President, and Bill Becker as Secretary/Treasurer.
